
Culoe De Song
Culoe De Song, born Culolethu Zulu in 1990, is a South African DJ, record producer, and sangoma known for his Afrocentric electronic sound. He gained international recognition after participating in the 2008 Red Bull Music Academy in Barcelona and releasing The Bright Forest on the renowned German label Innervisions in 2009. His debut album, A Giant Leap, achieved gold status, followed by Elevation (2011) and Exodus (2013), the latter earning him the Best Male Artist award at the 2014 Metro FM Awards and a spot on Rolling Stone South Africa’s Top 500 Albums of 2013.
His music has also been released on Mule Musiq, and he has performed at major festivals worldwide, including Amsterdam Dance Event, Winter Music Conference, and Oppikoppi. Throughout his career, he has shared the stage with acclaimed artists such as Seth Troxler, Richie Hawtin, Little Louie Vega, Carl Craig, Rocco, Ame, and Boddhi Satva. Featured in publications like Rolling Stone, GQ, and Raveline, Culoe De Song continues to be a significant force in the global electronic music scene.
